Composite Suite includes 14 effects plug-ins that were until recently, only available in-house at Digital FilmWorks, a Los Angeles based full-service visual effects facility specializing in feature film and television special effects. Composite Suite features selective color correction, matte generation, natural lighting effects, as well as specialized tools for combining imagery such as fire, smoke and explosions. The Composite Suite plug-ins take the unique approach of including within each compositing plug-in all that is needed to combine multiple images: color correction, blur, grain, matte manipulation and edge blending.
Of particular interest to Avid users, the Color Correct and Selective Color Correct plug-ins provide similar results to that of an Avid Symphony. Shadows, Midtones, Highlights as well as individual colors can be isolated and adjusted. High-end color correction is now available for all Avid editing systems. Fast Blur, Defocus and Selective Soft Focus are also welcome additions to any Avid system.
Composite Suite is available for Avid Symphony, Avid DS, Avid Media Composer, Avid Xpress, Avid Express DV and Adobe After Effects.
